How to play
- Toggle Silly and Sincere on or off above the card to choose which kinds of suggestions show up.
- Tap Reveal to bring up one resolution suggestion at a time in large text.
- Tap Keep It to add the suggestion to your resolutions pile, or Skip to pass on it.
- Keep revealing until every suggestion in the pool has been reacted to — the Kept pile is your list for the year.
Resolution Generator turns the pressure of picking a New Year's resolution into a light conversation game the whole party can pass around. Toggle Silly, Sincere, or both, then tap Reveal to bring up one suggestion at a time in large text — everything from learning a card trick to calling a grandparent weekly. React with Keep It if it's going on your real list for the year, or Skip if it's not your resolution this time; both choices land in a visible pile below the card so everyone can see what a player has collected so far. Every suggestion in the active pool is guaranteed to come up exactly once before any repeat, so a full pass never feels repetitive. By the time the pool runs out, the Kept pile is a genuine, if occasionally silly, list of resolutions for the year ahead.
Frequently asked questions
- Can the same resolution suggestion show up twice before others have appeared?
- No — reveals draw from a shuffled deck of the currently active pool, so every suggestion in that pool is guaranteed to appear exactly once before any suggestion can repeat.
- What's the difference between Silly and Sincere suggestions?
- Silly suggestions are playful icebreakers like learning a card trick or naming a houseplant, while Sincere suggestions are genuine habit-building ideas like calling family more often; toggling either off filters the deck to only the category you want.
- What happens to the Kept and Skipped piles when the pool runs out?
- A completion message and confetti appear once every suggestion has been reacted to, and the Kept pile stays visible as that player's resolution list until a fresh round is started by revealing again.
