How to play

  1. Pick a difficulty tab — All, Quick, Medium, or Showstopper — to match how much time you have.
  2. Check the design grid below the wheel to see what's currently in play.
  3. Tap Spin for a Design and watch the wheel land on one option.
  4. Paint the revealed design, then spin again for the next kid in line.

Face Paint Picker takes the negotiating out of "what do you want painted" by spinning a wheel of fourteen built-in designs, each shown with a small icon preview and sorted into Quick, Medium, or Showstopper difficulty. When the line is long, tap the Quick filter tab so every spin lands on a butterfly, star, heart, or other design a volunteer painter can finish in under a minute; when there's more time, switch to Medium or Showstopper for panda faces, unicorns, or a full dragon wrap. The All tab mixes every difficulty together for a surprise pick. Tap Spin for a Design and the wheel lands on one option, shown large with its icon and name above the wheel so both the painter and the kid in the chair can see it. The design grid below always lists exactly what's currently in the wheel, and the whole tool runs offline with no images to download.

Frequently asked questions

How does the difficulty filter change what the wheel can land on?
Selecting Quick, Medium, or Showstopper rebuilds the wheel to only include designs tagged at that difficulty, so every spin in that mode is guaranteed to match how much time the painter has; the All tab includes every design regardless of difficulty.
Does the tool show real photos of each design?
No — each design shows a small icon and name as a quick visual cue rather than a photo, since the tool runs fully offline with no image downloads; the painter uses their own reference or experience for the actual technique.
Can I switch difficulty mid-line without losing my place?
Yes — tapping a different difficulty tab immediately rebuilds the wheel with that filter's designs and is safe to do between kids; it's blocked only while the wheel is actively spinning so a filter change can't interrupt a spin in progress.
