How to play

Frequently asked questions
- Are these real animal sound recordings?
- No. Every sound is built live from simple synthesized audio tones (sine, square, and sawtooth waves), not a recording of a real animal — so some calls are more recognizable than others, especially for younger kids.
- Why only twelve animals?
- Only animals whose calls come across reasonably well as a few synthesized tones were included, like an owl's hoot or a duck's quack. Animals with more complex or textured calls were left out because a tone-based synth couldn't do them justice.
- Can I turn the sound off and still play?
- Yes. The sound toggle mutes the animal noise, and you can still play by reading the reveal card aloud or using it as a silent matching game with the emoji and name.
