How to play

  1. Tap the big Play Sound button and listen to the synthesized animal noise together.
  2. Let everyone shout out their guess before tapping Reveal Answer.
  3. The card flips to show the animal's name and emoji — tap Next Animal to continue.
  4. After all twelve animals, tap Restart Quiz for a freshly shuffled round.

Tap the big speaker button and a short animal sound plays right in the browser — every noise is generated live with simple audio tones, so there are no recordings or downloads involved. Let kids shout out their guess, then tap Reveal to flip the card and show the animal's name and a friendly emoji. Tap Next Animal to move on, and the quiz works through a shuffled set of twelve animals before wrapping up with a little celebration. It's built for toddlers and early readers: big buttons, simple visuals, and a sound toggle if you'd rather keep things quiet. Restart anytime for a fresh shuffled order.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real animal sound recordings?
No. Every sound is built live from simple synthesized audio tones (sine, square, and sawtooth waves), not a recording of a real animal — so some calls are more recognizable than others, especially for younger kids.
Why only twelve animals?
Only animals whose calls come across reasonably well as a few synthesized tones were included, like an owl's hoot or a duck's quack. Animals with more complex or textured calls were left out because a tone-based synth couldn't do them justice.
Can I turn the sound off and still play?
Yes. The sound toggle mutes the animal noise, and you can still play by reading the reveal card aloud or using it as a silent matching game with the emoji and name.
