Big Red Buzzer
A giant fullscreen buzzer for trivia and game nights. First tap wins instantly and locks out every other tap, with a color flash and name reveal. No app needed, projector-friendly, offline.

How to play
- Optionally list team or player names (one per line), or leave blank for a plain buzzer.
- Tap Launch Buzzer to go fullscreen.
- First tap (or team button) wins and locks the buzzer; every other tap is rejected until reset.
- Tap Reset to clear the winner and start the next question.
Launch the buzzer fullscreen on a shared tablet, laptop, or projector and let the room settle its own trivia disputes. The first tap locks the buzzer instantly and flashes the winner's name (or team name, if you listed teams at setup), while every other tap in that same instant is silently rejected — no double-counting, no arguing about who was first. Add team names for a captains-style setup or leave it blank for a plain free-for-all buzzer anyone can slap. One tap resets it for the next question. It works entirely offline with no app to install and no accounts.
Frequently asked questions
- What happens if two people tap at almost the same time?
- Whichever tap the browser registers first wins and locks the buzzer instantly — every subsequent tap in that same moment is rejected, so there's never a double winner.
- Do I need to add team names to use it?
- No. Leave the setup box blank for a single shared buzzer anyone can slap, or list team names if you want individual buzzer buttons per team on one screen.
- Can I use it on a projector for the whole room to see?
- Yes — it's built for that. The winner's name displays in huge fullscreen text with a color flash, readable from across a classroom or hall.
