How to play

  1. Type the hot seat guest's name and choose how many seconds each question gets.
  2. Optionally paste your own questions, one per line, to replace the built-in deck.
  3. Tap Put Them In the Seat, then Start Question to begin the ring timer for each question.
  4. Use Skip to move past a question early, or New Round to end with a confetti wrap-up.

Hot Seat Questions puts one guest of honor in the spotlight and keeps the energy up with a ring timer that counts down on every question. Type their name, set how many seconds each answer gets, and tap in to start a round of playfully nosy questions pulled from a shuffled deck that never repeats a question until every one has been asked. The ring around the timer glows amber when time is almost gone, so the whole room can feel the pressure build without anyone needing to watch a phone. Skip a question that lands wrong, keep the questions coming as fast as the seat can handle, and end the round whenever you're ready for a little confetti and a tally of how many questions the hot seat survived. Swap in your own list of questions any time you want a version built just for your group.

Frequently asked questions

Will the same question come up twice in one round?
No, questions are drawn from a shuffled deck that only repeats once every question in the list has been asked, so short rounds never feel repetitive.
Can I use my own questions instead of the built-in ones?
Yes, paste your own list into the custom questions box before starting and the tool draws exclusively from your list instead of the default deck.
What happens when the ring timer runs out?
The timer plays an alarm sound and stops automatically; you then tap Next Question to reset the ring and move on, so nobody has to watch the clock manually.
