How to play
- Optionally paste your own This or That pairs into the custom list, or leave it blank to use the built-in deck.
- Set the pace slider for how many seconds each choice stays on screen before auto-advancing.
- Tap Start Rapid Fire — each pair flashes on the split screen and everyone points to their side.
- Use Pause to freeze on a round, Skip Now to jump ahead early, or End to return to setup anytime.
One quick choice fills the whole screen, split down the middle in teal and amber, and the next one is already loading before anyone's done pointing. Set the pace slider anywhere from a relaxed 8 seconds to a frantic 2, tap Start Rapid Fire, and everyone in the room physically points to their side of the screen for each pair as it flashes by. There's no voting or scoring to slow things down — it's built purely for movement and energy, like a warm-up game or a palate cleanser between other party games. Pause anytime mid-round to settle an argument, tap Skip Now to jump ahead early, or paste your own A versus B pairs into the custom list to run it with topics of your own. It works entirely offline with zero setup.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there any scoring or voting in this game?
- No — This or That Rapid Fire is a pure movement and energy game with no tally. Players simply point at their choice on the split screen, making it a fast warm-up rather than a scored contest.
- How fast can I make the choices advance?
- The pace slider ranges from 2 to 8 seconds per choice. Faster settings work well once a group already knows the game, while slower settings give everyone more time to react and point.
- Can I pause in the middle of a round or skip ahead early?
- Yes. Tap Pause to freeze the current pair on screen for as long as you like, tap Resume to continue the auto-advance timer, or tap Skip Now at any time to jump straight to the next pair.
