Icebreaker Question Deck
Draw one conversation-starting question at a time, from breezy small talk to genuinely deep. A depth dial slides the tone of the whole deck and the card color shifts to match.

How to play
- Set the depth dial to Small Talk, Getting Real, or Deep, depending on how far you want the conversation to go.
- Tap Draw a Question to pull one prompt at a time from a shuffled deck for that depth level.
- Pass the device around the group or read each question aloud, then tap Draw again for the next one.
- Optionally paste your own questions into the custom list to replace the built-in prompts for the current depth.
Slide the depth dial to set the mood before anyone even sees a question — Small Talk keeps things light and easy, Getting Real asks people to reflect a little, and Deep opens the door to genuinely vulnerable conversation for a group that trusts each other. Tap Draw and one question appears at a time from a shuffled deck, with the card's color shifting warmer or cooler to match the depth you chose. Pass the device around a circle, or read questions aloud one by one, and the deck won't repeat a question until every one at that depth has been drawn. If you'd rather bring your own prompts, paste them into the custom list and they replace the current depth level entirely. It works completely offline, with no accounts or setup beyond picking a dial position.
Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between the three depth levels?
- Small Talk covers light, easy prompts anyone can answer in a sentence, Getting Real asks for a bit more reflection while staying comfortable in a group, and Deep is genuinely vulnerable and reflective, best suited to people who already trust each other.
- Will the same question come up twice in a row?
- No. Each depth level draws from its own shuffled deck with no repeats until every question at that level has appeared once, after which it reshuffles automatically for continued play.
- Can I write my own icebreaker questions instead of using the built-in ones?
- Yes — type or paste your own questions, one per line, into the custom list box, and they completely replace the built-in questions for whichever depth level is currently selected.
