Every road trip has a moment when someone in the back seat asks the question, and this tool answers it with a picture instead of a number. Enter your departure time and expected arrival time, tap Start Trip, and a little turtle sets off walking a path across a full screen display, bouncing along as the minutes pass. Flags mark the quarter, halfway, and three-quarter points, each one lighting up with a cheerful sound and a small celebration the moment the trip crosses it, so progress feels real rather than abstract. When the turtle reaches the finish flag, confetti and a win sound mark arrival. It updates live in the browser with no login or app, so it's ready to prop on the dashboard or pass to the back seat for the whole ride.
Frequently asked questions
- What happens if I set an arrival time that's before the departure time?
- The percentage display will shake and the trip won't start; you need to pick an arrival time that is later than the departure time before Start Trip will work.
- Does the progress update automatically, or do I have to refresh?
- It updates on its own every second while the full-screen view is open, so the turtle keeps walking and the percentage keeps climbing without any action from you.
- Can I use this for something other than a car trip?
- Yes, any activity with a clear start and end time works well, such as a flight, a long car ride, a classroom countdown to dismissal, or a work shift.
