How to play

  1. Add your lesson segments with a name and minutes for each — defaults are Starter (5), Teach (15), and Task (20), but you can add, remove, or rename any of them.
  2. Tap Start Lesson to launch the stacked bar. The active segment pulses and fills as time passes, with a big countdown and its name shown below.
  3. A soft chime plays automatically at every segment handoff, so the room hears the transition without anyone checking a clock.
  4. Use Pause to freeze the whole lesson (great for questions), Skip to Next Segment to move on early, or Edit Segments to go back and reshape the plan.

Type your lesson's segments — starter, teach, task, plenary, or whatever your plan calls for — and give each one its own number of minutes. Lesson Pacing Bar turns that plan into a single stacked bar so the whole class can glance up and see exactly how far through the lesson you are and what's coming next. The segment currently running gently pulses and fills in as its minutes tick down, and a soft chime plays the moment one segment ends and the next begins, so you never have to watch the clock yourself. A big countdown shows the time left in the current segment along with its name, and a small note previews what's up next. Pause anytime a discussion runs long, skip ahead if you're moving faster than planned, or jump back to Edit Segments to reshape the whole lesson.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when the last segment finishes?
The bar fills completely, a celebratory chime and confetti play once, and the Pause and Skip controls hide since the lesson plan is complete — a clear, unmistakable signal that time is up.
Can I change the segments once the lesson has started?
Yes. Tap Edit Segments at any point to pause the run and return to the setup screen, where you can rename, resize, add, or remove segments before starting again.
Does skipping ahead lose track of the total lesson time?
No. Skip to Next Segment jumps straight to the start of the next segment's clock, and the stacked bar always reflects real elapsed time against your planned minutes, so the schedule stays accurate even if you move faster than planned.
