Soccer Match Timer
Run a real football match clock with two count-up halves, added stoppage time shown as +X without resetting the base clock, a halftime break, and HOME/AWAY score taps.

How to play
- Enter the home and away team names and set the half length in minutes (45 for a standard match, or shorter for youth play).
- Tap Kick off to start the first half — the clock counts up from 00:00.
- When the half reaches full length, the whistle button unlocks; add any announced stoppage minutes first, then blow the whistle to move to halftime.
- Start the second half when ready — it begins exactly at the half length, not from zero — and tap goals for either team as they happen.
Name your teams and set the half length — 45 minutes for a standard match, or shorter for youth games — then kick off. The clock counts up like a real match clock, and once a half reaches its full length the whistle button unlocks so you can end it on your own timing rather than an automatic cutoff. Before you blow the whistle, add any stoppage minutes the referee has announced; that shows as a separate +X badge next to the clock and never resets or rewinds the base time already on the board. Halftime pauses everything cleanly, the second half picks up exactly at the half length instead of restarting from zero, and HOME/AWAY goal buttons keep the score live throughout. A fullscreen view keeps the clock, stoppage badge and score readable from across the pitch or the sideline.
Frequently asked questions
- Does adding stoppage time reset or restart the match clock?
- No. Stoppage minutes are tracked completely separately from the base clock and shown as their own +X badge next to the time. Setting or changing the stoppage value never resets, rewinds, or otherwise alters the running or paused base clock.
- Why does the second half start at 45:00 instead of 0:00?
- A real match clock never resets at halftime — it keeps counting from where the first half left off. This timer starts the second half exactly at the half length you configured (45:00 by default), so the displayed time always reflects true match time across both halves.
- Can I pause the clock, and does pausing lose any elapsed time?
- Yes, Pause freezes the clock immediately during either half, and Resume picks up from the exact same elapsed time with nothing lost or double-counted. Halftime itself is also a paused state until you start the second half.
