How to play

  1. Tap Start to begin timing a run, then Stop the instant the runner finishes.
  2. Type the runner's name and tap Save This Time to add it to the leaderboard.
  3. The leaderboard automatically ranks every saved run fastest to slowest, with a PB sparkle on new personal bests.
  4. Tap Reset Clock between runners, or Clear Leaderboard to start a whole new competition.

Start the stopwatch when a runner begins the course and tap Stop the moment they cross the finish line. Type their name and tap Save This Time to lock the run into the leaderboard, which automatically re-sorts fastest to slowest every time a new run is added. If a runner beats their own previous best, that row gets a sparkling PB badge so everyone can see who's improving. Run as many heats as you like — the board keeps every saved time and re-ranks instantly, and Reset Clock clears just the stopwatch between runners without touching the leaderboard. When the backyard olympics wrap up, Clear Leaderboard starts a brand new competition from scratch.

Frequently asked questions

How does the leaderboard decide who's in first place?
Every saved run is sorted by elapsed time, fastest first, and the table re-sorts automatically the moment a new time is saved — there's nothing to manually rank or reorder.
What counts as a personal best?
A run is flagged as a PB when it's the fastest time that specific runner's name has saved so far in this session; a slower second run by the same name won't get the sparkle, but a new faster one will.
Can two runners tie for the same time?
Yes, ties are ranked next to each other in the leaderboard by the order they were saved, and both keep their place in the standings without either one being dropped.
