How to play
- Type one kid's name per line and tap Start Chart to build their point cards.
- Set an amount and optional note, then tap Earn to add points or Spend to deduct them.
- Every tap adds its own entry to that kid's log — rapid taps are never merged or missed.
- Check the session summary at the bottom for each kid's total earned, spent, and current balance.
Family Points Chart gives every kid a simple running balance for chores, good habits, or whatever reward economy your household runs on. Add each kid's name and they get their own card with a big point total, plus an Earn and Spend button with an adjustable amount and an optional note for what the points were for. Every single tap logs immediately to that kid's history, so five quick taps for five finished chores show up as five separate entries, never merged into one. Spending is capped at whatever a kid has actually earned, so a balance can never dip below zero, while earning has no upper limit for an extra-productive week. A session summary totals up how much each kid earned, spent, and has left, giving parents a quick read on the whole week at a glance.
Frequently asked questions
- Can a kid's point balance go negative?
- No, spending is always capped at the kid's current balance, so if they try to spend more points than they have, only the available amount is deducted and the balance stops at zero.
- What happens if I tap Earn several times quickly?
- Each tap counts on its own and adds its own log entry immediately, so five fast taps for five finished chores always result in five separate entries and the full point total, never a missed or merged tap.
- Does the chart save between visits?
- No, nothing is stored between sessions — the kids, point totals, and log all live only in the current browser tab and reset when you reload or start a new chart.
