How to play
- Pick a rope-pacing preset — 30/30, 60/15, 20/20 or 45/15 — or edit skip/rest seconds directly.
- Set how many rounds you want in the session.
- Tap Start to go full screen; SKIP and REST alternate automatically with beeps in the last 3 seconds.
- Watch the round dots fill in — the counter only advances after each completed skip interval.
Rope pacing lives or dies on the rest window: too short and your form falls apart, too long and you lose your rhythm between rounds. Pick a preset like the classic 30/30, a faster-paced 20/20, or an endurance-leaning 60/15, or dial in your own skip and rest seconds and round count directly. Tap Start and the screen fills full screen with a huge SKIP or REST label, a countdown with beeps in the final three seconds, and round dots so you always know how many are left. The round counter only ticks forward when a skip interval finishes, never during rest, and the very last round skips straight to the finish fanfare with no trailing rest tacked on.
Frequently asked questions
- How is this different from the jump rope keepy-up counter?
- The keepy-up counter tallies how many consecutive skips you land in one attempt. This timer is the opposite: it doesn't count jumps at all, it just calls out fixed SKIP and REST windows for a set number of rounds, hands-free.
- What do the 30/30 and 60/15 presets mean?
- The first number is seconds of skipping, the second is seconds of rest. 30/30 gives you equal work and recovery for steady pacing, while 60/15 pushes longer skip windows with a shorter rest for a more conditioning-focused session.
- Does the timer add rest after my very last round?
- No. Every round except the final one gets a rest interval after it; the last round ends the session immediately after its skip window so you finish on work, not on an unnecessary trailing rest.
