How to play
- Tap a day on the 30-day grid to load its target hold time (rest days are marked and can't be started).
- Tap Start to go full screen — the countdown begins immediately toward today's target.
- Listen for the encouragement chime at the halfway point, then hold until the finish fanfare.
- Check the PB chip after each hold — it updates automatically whenever you beat your best hold this session.
A 30-day plank challenge works by holding a little longer each session, with rest days built in so your core actually recovers. Tap your day on the grid — the plan starts at a 20-second hold on day 1 and builds up to a full 5-minute hold by day 30, with rest days marked and skipped along the way — then tap Start. The screen fills full screen with a giant countdown to today's target, plus a gentle encouragement chime exactly at the halfway point to help you push through. Every hold you complete in the session is checked against your best so far; beat it and the finish screen flags a new personal best with extra celebration, right alongside the regular done fanfare.
Frequently asked questions
- How does the 30-day plank progression work?
- The built-in plan runs from a 20-second hold on day 1 up to a full 5-minute hold on day 30, increasing gradually with several rest days spaced through the month so you're never asked to push a personal record two days in a row.
- What happens if I tap a rest day?
- Rest days are shown on the grid in a different style and can't be started as a hold — pick any non-rest day to load its target time and begin the countdown instead.
- How is my personal best tracked?
- The PB tracker lives for your current browser session only: every completed hold is compared against your best hold so far this session, and beating it triggers a distinct celebration screen plus an updated PB chip on the main page.
