Line-Up Order
Paste your class list and shuffle it into a fair random line-up order in one tap. A big numbered list shows the whole queue, and Advance highlights who steps up next.

How to play
- Type or paste your list of names, one per line, into the box.
- Tap Shuffle Line-Up to generate a fair random order shown as a numbered list.
- Tap Advance each time the next person steps up — they highlight and the line moves forward.
- Use Reshuffle for a fresh order with the same names, or New List to start over completely.
Type or paste your class list, one name per line, then tap Shuffle Line-Up. Every name is placed into a fair random order using true randomness, shown as a big numbered list anyone can read from across the room. Tap Advance each time a student steps up, and the current name highlights while everyone before them fades to show they've already gone. Reshuffle keeps the same names but draws a brand new order, and New List lets you start over with a different roster entirely. It works just as well for lining up for lunch, picking presentation order, or choosing who reads next, and it holds up whether you have two students or two hundred.
Frequently asked questions
- How is the line-up order chosen?
- Every name is shuffled using a true random-number source, not a predictable pattern, so the same list produces a different fair order each time you shuffle.
- Can I reshuffle without retyping my whole class list?
- Yes. Tap Reshuffle and the same set of names gets a brand new random order while the cursor resets to the start of the line.
- What happens if I tap Advance really fast by accident?
- Advance is guarded against rapid double-taps, so a fast double-click only moves the line forward by one person, never skips two at once.
