Whisper Chain Phrases

Generates a tongue-twisty phrase graded by difficulty, hidden behind a hold-to-peek button so only the current whisperer sees it before passing the phone down the line for a game of telephone.

How to play

  1. Pick a difficulty — Easy, Medium, or Hard — to control how tongue-twisty the generated phrase is.
  2. The first whisperer presses and holds the peek button to see the phrase, then lets go and whispers it to the next player before passing the phone along.
  3. Set the number of players in your chain, then tap Passed It On after each whisper to track whose turn is next without revealing the phrase to anyone else.
  4. Once the chain reaches the last player, have them say what they heard out loud, then tap Reveal Original to compare it to the real phrase.

Pick a difficulty level and the tool generates a phrase ranging from a simple sentence to a genuine tongue twister, but keeps it completely hidden behind a press-and-hold button so only whoever is physically holding the phone can see it. The first player presses and holds to memorize the phrase, then whispers it to the next player before the phone gets passed along; a simple chain tracker on screen keeps count of whose turn it is without ever showing the phrase itself, so the phone can pass through any number of hands with zero risk of an early peek. Once the phrase has traveled the whole line, the last player says out loud what they think they heard, and only then does the group tap Reveal Original to compare it against the real starting phrase.

Frequently asked questions

How does the tool make sure only the current whisperer sees the phrase?
The phrase text is only ever written onto the screen while a finger is actively pressing and holding the peek button, and it's removed the instant the button is released, so the phone can be passed hand to hand between whispers without anyone else glimpsing it.
Does the on-screen chain tracker ever show the phrase while the game is running?
No — the chain tracker only displays player numbers and simple status labels like "holds the phone now" or "waiting," and never renders any part of the actual phrase text until Reveal Original is tapped at the very end.
What happens when I tap Reveal Original?
It's meant to be tapped only after the last player has said their guess out loud — it displays the true starting phrase in full so the group can compare it to what the message turned into by the end of the chain.
