White Elephant Turn Tracker
Random turn order plus automatic steal-limit enforcement for White Elephant gift swaps. Gifts freeze once max steals are hit, and a live event log settles every dispute. Works offline.

How to play
- List every player (one per line) and choose the max steals allowed per gift.
- Tap Start Swap — the turn order is randomized instantly.
- On your turn, open a new gift or steal an unfrozen one from another player.
- Watch gifts freeze automatically once they hit the steal limit; the event log tracks every move.
List your players, pick a max-steals-per-gift rule, and this tracker randomizes the turn order for you so nobody can argue about who goes first. Each opened gift becomes a card showing who holds it and how many times it's been stolen; once a gift hits its steal limit it freezes automatically and the steal button disappears, so the rule enforces itself instead of relying on memory. A running event log records every open and steal in plain language, which is handy for settling the inevitable "wait, who had that already" moment. Everything runs on one shared device or a projector, with no accounts and no data leaving the browser.
Frequently asked questions
- Can a gift be stolen back and forth forever?
- No. You set a max-steals-per-gift limit (1, 2, 3, or unlimited) at setup, and once a gift hits that count it freezes automatically — the steal button disappears for good.
- Can someone steal their own gift back immediately?
- No. The tracker only shows a Steal button on gifts held by someone other than the current player, so you can't steal from yourself.
- Does it work for large groups?
- Yes, add as many players as you like — the turn queue and gift grid both scroll and stay readable, and turn order stays perfectly fair no matter the group size.
