Sight Word Flash Cards gives every word its own huge, easy-to-read moment on screen. Pick a built-in list levelled from Pre-K through 3rd grade, each stocked with dozens of real Dolch-style words, or switch to My Custom List and type your own words for spelling practice or a specific unit. Set how many seconds each card should stay up and turn on Auto-advance for a hands-free drill that flips through the whole list on its own, or leave auto-advance off and tap the card yourself whenever a student is ready for the next word. Every word in the list appears exactly once before any repeats, so practice covers the full set fairly. Pause anytime, shuffle the order for a fresh run, and a short summary shows how many words you got through when the session ends.
Frequently asked questions
- Where do the built-in word lists come from?
- Each level (Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade) is a generous Dolch-style list of common sight words appropriate for that grade, built directly into the tool so you don't need to type anything.
- Can I use my own spelling list instead of the built-in ones?
- Yes, choose My Custom List and type one word per line; blank lines and extra spaces are trimmed automatically so any pasted list works cleanly.
- Will the same word show up twice in a row?
- No, every word in the active list appears exactly once before any word repeats, so a full pass through the deck covers every word fairly before starting over.
