How to play

  1. Type your roster, one name per line, and tap Start Attendance.
  2. Every student starts marked present — tap a name to flip it to absent, tap again to bring them back.
  3. Watch the Present, Absent, and Total counts update instantly in the header as you tap.
  4. Use Copy Absent List to grab the absent names for the office, or Mark All Present to reset the day.

Attendance Checker turns roll call into a few taps. Paste or type your roster, one name per line, and every student starts marked present. Tap a name to flip it to absent, and tap again to bring them back — the header totals for present, absent, and total count update the instant you tap, so you always know where the class stands without doing any math yourself. Below the roster, an absent list builds itself automatically in a plain text box you can select and copy straight into an email or office form. When today is done, Mark All Present resets everyone for a fresh count, or New Roster lets you start over completely with a different class list, all without the page saving or sending anything anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Does everyone start as present or absent?
Everyone starts marked present by default, since most students show up most days, so you only need to tap the names of students who are actually absent.
Can I mark more than 200 students?
The roster accepts up to 200 names, which comfortably covers any single class list, and every name is guaranteed to be counted exactly once as either present or absent.
Where does the roster and attendance data go when I close the tab?
Nowhere — nothing is saved, uploaded, or stored between visits, so copy your absent list before closing the tab if you need it later.
