How to play

  1. Enter both team names and decide whether the exact-21 bust rule is on, then tap Start Game.
  2. After each round, enter how many bags each team landed on the board and in the hole.
  3. Tap Submit Round — the tool calculates cancellation scoring automatically and updates both totals.
  4. Use Undo Last Round to fix a miscount, or watch for the automatic winner banner — exactly 21 with the bust rule on, 21 or more with it off.

Cornhole scoring trips people up because it uses cancellation, not simple addition: whichever team scored more in a round only banks the difference, and matched points cancel out entirely. This scoreboard handles that math for you — after each round, enter how many bags each team landed on the board (1 point) and in the hole (3 points), and the correct net score is applied automatically. Toggle the exact-21 bust rule on or off before the game starts, so a team that overshoots 21 resets to 15 instead of winning outright if you play with that house rule. Undo the last round if someone miscounts bags, and the game calls the winner automatically — on exactly 21 with the bust rule on, or the moment a team reaches 21 or more with it off.

Frequently asked questions

Why didn't my team's score go up even though we landed bags?
Cornhole uses cancellation scoring: only the team with the higher round total gains points, equal to the difference between the two teams' round scores. If both teams score the same amount in a round, it cancels out and neither team's total changes.
What does the bust rule toggle actually do?
When it's on, a team whose total would go over 21 in a round resets back to 15 instead of winning, matching a common house rule that a game must be won by landing on exactly 21. Turn it off and the standard rule applies instead: the first team to reach 21 or more points wins immediately.
Can I fix a mistake after submitting a round?
Yes. Undo Last Round removes the most recent round from the score history and correctly restores both teams' totals to what they were before that round, including reversing any bust-rule reset.
