How it works
This tool scans your pasted text and capitalizes the first letter of every sentence automatically. It recognizes sentence boundaries marked by a period, exclamation mark, or question mark followed by whitespace, ensuring each new sentence starts with an uppercase letter regardless of how the original text was typed.

Note that the tool uses punctuation cues rather than language understanding, so abbreviations ending in a period (e.g. "Dr.", "etc.") may trigger an unwanted capitalization of the word that follows. A quick review after conversion is recommended for text with many abbreviations.

Common mistakes to avoid

- Expecting it to lowercase mid-sentence capital letters -- this tool only adds capitals, it does not remove them.
- Forgetting that proper nouns still need manual review if the source text had them in all-lowercase.
