The Character Name Generator produces plausible, genre-appropriate names for fictional characters by combining curated first-name and surname lists filtered by story genre and character gender. Fantasy names draw on invented syllables and archaic roots, while contemporary fiction names lean on statistically common modern names from English-speaking cultures.
