How it works
US and UK glove sizes use the same numeric scale based on the circumference of the hand in inches measured around the knuckles, and this number maps directly to the EU numeric size — no arithmetic conversion is needed. The fit label (XS through XL) provides a practical guide when numeric sizes are unavailable. A common mistake is confusing glove size with ring size: ring sizes use a completely different numbering system (US ring sizes run 3–13, UK ring sizes use letters), so a glove size of 8 does not correspond to a ring size of 8.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Measuring hand length instead of hand circumference -- glove size is based on the circumference around the knuckles (excluding the thumb), not the distance from wrist to fingertip.
- Assuming the same glove size fits both work gloves and dress gloves -- cut and material affect fit; a thin leather glove may need to be sized up half a size from a fleece work glove.
